Home Groups

Cedars Church currently has four home groups. We meet in various homes to study the Bible and pray in a relaxed setting. Home groups give people the opportunity to develop deeper relationships and to care for one another. Each group meets twice monthly, all following the same studies, to enable people to catch up if they are unable to attend their normal group.

Prayer Group

The prayer group meets on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursdays of the month (opposite Thursdays to the Daytime Home Group) at 10am in various homes.
This is an opportunity to meet as a small group to pray about a variety of issues, for example things in the life of the Church, overseas mission, personal things and items of local importance. There is also an opportunity for a chat over a coffee.

Open the Book

Open the Book is an opportunity to share the Bible with the children at Cedars Park Primary School.
Every 2nd week, the group meets on Monday at 8pm for preparation and rehearsal, and then on Thursday at 9am to lead the school assembly.

Men's Group

The Men's Group meets bi-monthly in various homes or out wherever activities are taking place.
Meetings are activity based during the summer, and home based during the winter, and allow men to get together and share a time of friendship, fellowship and discussion.
There is also a monthly prayer meeting for men often after a cooked breakfast again at various locations.

Women's Group

A group of women meet meet bi-monthly at 8pm on a Monday evening in various places, to grow in God's love and fellowship together.
Each meeting consists of a short Bible Study or devotional time, some social time and prayer time. "Bring a Friend" meetings are held regularly, as an evangelistic event. Meetings have included a games night, singing, talks and ten pin bowling.
Also bi-monthly, there is a women's prayer meeting at various locations.
