COVID 19 – OUR APPROACH

Loving our neighbours is a guiding principle of the Christian faith and so in order to protect and love our neighbours in the wider community we have sought to follow the government's guidance. During lockdown we stopped our gatherings and established online services for Sunday worship and used media to facilitate Home Groups and other meetings.

Although the school is still not available to us, we are now meeting together at the Faith Mission Centre, (Fen Lane IP14 5EG) at 10:30am each Sunday and are adhering to the current government guidelines. We are also livestreaming our services.

What to Expect at Red House Farm

For those attending, please feel free to arrive from 10:00am. Please be considerate when parking, and seek to maintain social distancing as you walk to the building. On entrance, you will be registered and asked to hand sanitise. Please remember to bring a face covering, unless you are exempt under the government guidance. The service will happen in the main hall which has good ventilation. Each household/social bubble will need to sit together and we have arranged chairs to be 2 meters apart in groups of 5, 4 2 and 1.

We are not currently having Junior Church gatherings, but the leaders continue to send out weekly emails and are in regular contact with the families. The Youth Church leaders are in regular contact with our young people, and will inform them of the activities that are available for them. Although there will be no crèche provision, a room is available for nappy changing, feeding as necessary

In gathering on a Sunday we are all agreeing to the following 4 key expectations:

1.     We will be socially distanced and wear face coverings.
We need to be 2 meters apart and will be sat in households/social bubbles. We will also all wear face coverings inside the building (unless someone has a legitimate reason not to do so).

2.     We will be registered.
We will keep a record of all who attend the services. This is part of supporting the track and trace scheme.

3.     We won’t sing.
There will be no corporate singing, as per current guidelines. We will make use of music videos to help us in our gathered worship.

4.     We will not mingle and will be careful.
